Spain-US Chamber of Commerce
The Spain-US Chamber of Commerce was my first internship opportunity. There, I interned with the marketing and international trade departments, where I helped in the event planning of a yearly gala, marketing and graphic design efforts, and connecting spanish companies to those in the US. It was very interesting to see commerce from a global networking perspective.
Prospectiva Consulting
Prospectiva was my first introduction to the consulting and truly corporate world. I learned more than I ever thought possible in just one year of working with them. By the end of my time there, I had gone from copy editing all reports sent to US companies, to heading communications initiatives in the office, to become an integral part of the research process for multiple international corporate clients . I had an amazing time there and am forever grateful for the opportunity.
NASCAR
The summer of 2018, I was recruited into the NASCAR internship program. I became the Public & Government Affairs intern, helping to curate company policies according to new laws and regulations. There, I monitored news and legislation related to sports and helped create weekly newsletter to keep top executives informed. I also helped in compliance efforts and corporate social responsibility efforts of the company related to driver responsibility and giving back to veterans and our military.
Royal Caribbean
I got to intern for Royal Caribbean International for a semester, where I worked in the fast-paced Public Relations Department to monitor incoming news and outputting information. By the end of my internship, I wrote various press releases sent to the public and picked up by publications, as well as media analysis of possible media spaces for our coverage, curated content for our website, and helped brainstorm social media initiatives for the revamp of Royal's island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at Coco Cay.
Sony Pictures Entertainment
Working for Sony Pictures Entertainment was a magical experience! In the Global Security Department, I truly got to make a difference. I worked under the Global Threat Manager there, finding threats, whether internal through the review of our own scripts, and external through monitoring systems such as dataminr and social media monitoring. I also worked on several projects monitoring security for office relocations, as well as premieres and international scouting trips. Our department worked hand-in-hand with investigations whenever we determined a threat.
