speaker at
language day
When I was first asked by the manager of global learning to be a speaker at the Language Day, I was extremely nervous. I couldn't think of a way to connect to all the students that would be attending the event, hoping to hear from others who had experiences learning other languages. To make matters even more nerve-wracking, I noticed that other speakers were accomplished professionals. I realized, then, that it was less about teaching and more about making an impact with my speech and explaining my own story and how I came about to being trilingual. Because of this, I decided to go through a story-telling route through my speech. I told them my story and how I came to learn the languages that I did. I spoke about the challenges and the victories on the path of learning about different cultures and I'm proud to say that I think maybe, just maybe, I did make an impact on someone's own language journey.

Student juror at
academic integrity hearings
I signed up to volunteer as a student juror in academic integrity cases, in order to give a student perspective to cases. I was asked a few times to go in and evaluate the evidence of a student's integrity, and along with a panel of professors, gave my opinion in shaping decisions. I always tried to make sure my own decisions were guided by fairness and honor.

senior delegate at
fiu model united nations
My experience in Model UN I would say was in many ways the highlight of my college career. Regardless of the semester or place I was in, I was always an involved delegate in FIU's model UN team, working endlessly to compete in national conferences and help FIU do well in the program. By the time I became a senior, we had gone from number 5 in the nation to number 1 in the first time in history, and I received first place in my last conference as a delegate at the hardest crisis conference of the year- CHOMUN 2019. I am so lucky to have a been a part of a team that stayed with me through my ups and downs and one that taught me the ideals of diplomacy, hard work, and integrity.
